Book Discussion Groups - Salem Public Library hosts two free, public book discussion groups each month. Thought-provoking books and avid participants team up to make memorable discussions for book lovers.  The Library also hosts a monthly cookbook group.

Sponsored Programs - Salem Public Library partners with a number of community organizations to provide an interesting array of programs and activities that are free and open to the public.

Operation Bookshelf - Home delivery of books is offered to 100 home-bound Salem residents through this program offered in partnership with the Assistance League of Salem.

Music at the Library is a library-produced series offering a variety of musical genres.

It's Read to a Pet Day today! Young readers are encouraged to drop in to the Children's Room and read to one of our friendly, four-footed volunteers between 1:00 and 2:30 pm.

Book kits are also available for check-out and use by area book groups

A complete listing of book kits is available online.

Books for Lunch and Books for Dessert are made possible through the support of the Friends of Salem Public Library and the Salem Public Library Foundation.
