HOMELESS RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (HRAP)

SHA’s Homeless Rental Assistance Program (HRAP) is Salem’s Housing First Initiative to permanently house the most vulnerable 100 chronically homeless individuals in the City of Salem. The program consists of providing rental assistance, barrier removal funding, facilitation of access to crucial services, peer support and intensive case management.

Additionally, SHA has committed 100 Housing Choice Vouchers to graduates of the HRAP program to ensure their long-term housing stability and self-sufficiency.

Launched in July 2017, HRAP is a City-funded program administered and operated by SHA in collaboration with ARCHES.  Various sectors are critically important to the success of the program, including health/mental health care providers, law enforcement, courts, homeless service providers and other social service providers.

All referrals go through ARCHES for assessment prior to being referred to SHA. Please call ARCHES at 503-399-9080 to schedule an appointment.
