This is Deb and that "data entry" girl. I wanted to start a blog so I could express how much I appreciate what our Partners have so graciously done to help those of us that are less fortunate. I say us because I am one of us.
Here is my story; In October of 2014 I was diagnosed with Hypokalemia and put in the hospital for 10 days. I have since then been hospitalized many times. Due to the diagnosis I have not been able to work and was evicted from my apartment. I went to Grace House which is a transitional shelter for women for 8 months.
There is where I met Michael Mann and he gave me an opportunity to train myself to be able to do website maintenance for an amazing website called "Salem for All." I had been going to college to get my Associates Degree at Chemeketa Community College and was 4 months shy of my degree when I was diagnosed.
How lucky am I to be the one who gets to put the "Opportunities" on the website for all of us? Michael's foresight, the founder of "Salem for All" has given us a chance to experience cultural, educational, fun, lessons, entertainment, and tools to have and use for life.
One of the reasons I wanted to start a blog was so I could maybe hear back from you with ideas, thoughts, feedback, and experiences.
I hope to hear from you!
