SEEKING VOLUNTEERS!

We have some great opportunities to volunteer for Salem Audubon Society with some upcoming events. These offer us the chance to connect with our community and discuss their interests in plants, pollinators, and of course, birds!

1) The Mission Street Parks Conservancy (MSPC) will hold their annual plant sale at the Soapbox Derby track at Bush's Pasture Park from 10:00am - 7:00pm on Friday, April 12, and 9:00am - 3:00pm on Saturday, April 13. Ray Temple and Stephanie Hazen will be there and can help with organizing/scheduling interested volunteers. You can read more about the event here: https://www.missionstreetparks.org/spring-plant-sale/

2) Leadership opportunities with Salem Audubon Society representation at the Salem SATURDAY Market. We are hoping to have a booth for Salem Audubon Society at least two days this summer, one in MAY (likely mid-May on the 11th) and one in SEPTEMBER (likely Sept. 21st) at the Salem Saturday Market.  We are looking for about 2 people to help coordinate our participation at these market days. We could assist you in recruiting volunteers, and you would be in charge of organizing the staffing of our booth leading up to and the day of the event. You can choose to coordinate one or both market days. To read more about the market, check out their website: https://www.salemcommunitymarkets.com/

3) The Pollinator Festival, hosted by Dancing Oaks Nursery and Gardens, will be on JUNE 22, 2019, from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and Salem Audubon Society is looking for leaders and volunteers to staff a booth. More details is on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/790716464642073/.

Please contact Maureen Leong-Kee at SalemAudubonVolunteering@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering! We greatly appreciate our members’ support. Thank you!
